Hog Bikes (hogbikes.com) is a gear guide site. This page explains what information is collected when you visit, why, and what choices you have. Short version: we don't have accounts or sign-ups, we don't sell your information, and we use Google Analytics to see which pages and products are useful.

What we collect
Analytics (Google Analytics 4). We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site: pages viewed, roughly where visitors are (city or region level), device and browser type, how you got here, and which product links are clicked. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this. According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses; it uses them only to work out a general location. We use this information only to improve the site. We don't use it for advertising.
Product link clicks. When you click a product link, we record which product and which spot on the page (for example, a product card button). This tells us which picks are helpful. It isn't tied to your name or any personal account.
Your light/dark mode choice. If you use the light/dark mode button, your choice is saved in your own browser (local storage) so the site remembers it. It never leaves your device.
Hosting. The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes basic request information (like your IP address and browser) to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks.
What we don't collect. No sign-ups, no accounts, no comments, no forms and no payment information.
Amazon links
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Product links go to Amazon.com. When you click one, you're on Amazon's site, and Amazon's own privacy notice applies there. Amazon may use cookies to know the visit came from Hog Bikes so it can credit the referral. Product images on this site, when shown, load directly from Amazon's servers.

- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
- Opt out of Google Analytics on all sites with Google's opt-out browser add-on (opens in a new tab).
- Clear your light/dark choice by clearing this site's data in your browser.
Children
Hog Bikes is meant for adults and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
